Floy Krouchi

Floy Krouchi is a sound artist, composer and performer based in Paris. She deals with trans disciplinary work on identity and explores different medias. She founded the collective of female musicians Mafucage (dub, electro, positive noise) and is also member of OTO (collective of electroacoustic composers).

In 2011 she won the Luc ferrari’s 9th international radiophonic art competition for the piece “Couvre-Feux”, broadcasted in Germany, Suitzerland, France, and Canada and premiered in Geneva’s contemporary music festival Archipel.
Her piece “Journal Transgenre d’une famille Hijra”, produced in 2010 for France Culture’s ‘Atelier de Creation Radiophonique won the Prix Italia 2011 in Radio Documentary.
In 2009 “Villa Medicis hors les murs” was granted to her work, for a musical research project in South India , where she conceived the album ‘A stream of Love’ (Toolbox records).
Her pieces and performances , solo or in collaboration, have been played since 1994 in France (Palais de Tokyo , Maison des metallos, GRM INA), over Europe, in US,China, Oman, Lebanon
and India).
